Something not working?
Viewy is made by a very small team, so your email reaches a person who can actually change the code.
Email us
To save a round trip, tell us your device, your iOS or tvOS version, the app version from Settings, and what you were doing when it went wrong.
Start here
Adding a playlist
Open Viewy, go to Settings → Playlists → Add, and paste the address your provider gave you. If it came with a username and password, enter those in the fields below the address.
Playlist won't load
Almost always the address, the credentials, or a provider that's down. Paste the same address into a browser on the same network — if it doesn't load there either, the problem is upstream of us.
Stuttering or buffering
Try Ethernet before Wi-Fi on Apple TV, and raise the buffer in Settings → Playback. If one channel stutters and the rest are fine, it's the source, not your connection.
Setting up Apple TV
Install Viewy on your iPhone first and add your playlist there, then open the Apple TV app and choose Import from iPhone — so you never have to type a URL with the Siri Remote.
Common questions
The four we get most often, and the honest answers.
Does Viewy come with channels?
No. Viewy is a player and nothing else. You supply a playlist from a provider you already have a relationship with, and the app plays it. We don't sell, bundle, resell or recommend content.
Do I need an account?
No account, no sign-up, no email required. Your playlist details stay on your device.
One channel won't play, but the rest are fine.
That's usually the source, not the app — a stream that's offline or encoded in something unusual. Send us the channel name and we'll check whether our engine can handle the format; if it can't yet, that's a fix we can make ourselves.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't process it on our end, but tell us what went wrong anyway; we'd rather fix it.
