1. Who this covers

This policy applies to the Viewy apps for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, and to direbark.com. "Viewy" means those apps; "we" and "us" mean Direbark LLC, a limited liability company organised in New Mexico, United States.

2. Information you give us

To use Viewy you enter a playlist address, and in some cases a username and password issued by your own provider. These are stored on your device and are sent only to the provider you entered them for. They are not transmitted to us and we cannot read them.

If you write to us for support, we receive whatever you put in that message — typically your email address and a description of the problem.

3. Information collected automatically

If you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in your device settings, Apple sends us crash reports and performance data. These are aggregated by Apple and do not identify you. We collect nothing else automatically from the apps.

4. What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address (unless you write to us), precise location, contacts, photos, advertising identifier, or any record of which channels you watch or when. Viewy contains no third-party advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no cross-app tracking.

5. The content you watch

Viewy is a player, not a content service. When you open a stream, your device connects directly to the server named in your playlist. That traffic does not pass through our servers, and we keep no log of it. Your relationship with that provider — including what they collect about you — is governed by their terms and their privacy policy, not ours.

6. Our channel guide service

Direbark operates a small service hosted on Microsoft Azure that compiles publicly available channel metadata from third-party sources and serves it to the app as a single file. The app downloads that file on a fixed schedule. The request carries no account identifier. As with any web service, our host records standard server logs which may include IP addresses; these are retained for a short period for operational and security purposes and are not used to build a profile of you.

7. Companies we rely on

Apple Inc. distributes the apps and handles any purchase, subscription or refund. Apple's own privacy policy governs that relationship; we receive only aggregate sales reporting.

Microsoft Azure hosts the channel guide service described above.

We do not sell or share personal information with anyone, and we have never done so.

8. Retention and security

Because your playlist details stay on your device, deleting the app removes them. Support emails are kept for 12 months and then deleted. Traffic between the app and our guide service is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Viewy is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we hold almost nothing, most such requests are answered quickly. Write to the address in section 12 and we will respond within the period your law requires.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page, and for anything significant we will note it in the app's release notes. Continuing to use Viewy after a change means you accept the revised policy.
